Chilli Pepper - Crochet Playfood

Good morning!

Today's pattern is a simple and quick one indeed! It is for a sweet little chilli pepper. Another addition to my girls playfood barrel. This chilli is about 9cm in length and a fun addition to any playfood set. Try making a bunch and stringing them together for a garland!

You will need:
dk weight yarn in red and green (worsted would work as well, but it will be slightly larger)
3.75mm hook.

With the green:
1: ch2, sc 5 times in the 1st chain, join.
2: ch1, sc around, join (5) End green

3: Join red to back loop and ch1, sc in each stitch around, place marker (5)
4: sc in the first 2 stitches, 2sc in the next stitch, sc in the last 2 stitches (6)
5: sc in the first 2 stitches, 2sc in the next 2 stitches, sc in the last 2 stitches (8)
6: sc around
7: sc2tg, sc 6 (7)
8-9: sc around (7)
stuff lightly
10: sc in the first 2 stitches, slst2tg, sc 3 (6)
11-12: sc around (6)
13-15: sc in the first 3 stitches, sl st in the last 3 stitches (6)

End off, using tail to close the end
